Sol Invictus Guitar Pick (Avail July 10)

Built from a long-held red-orange resin sheet, Sol Invictus is a limited run of thick, satin-finished guitar picks inspired by solar fire, Roman symbolism, and the idea of the Unconquered Sun.

Each pick is CNC engraved, black-filled by hand, shaped to a compact standard-style profile, and finished with a subtle satin texture that feels substantial without being overly slick.

The Unconquered Sun

Sol Invictus means “The Unconquered Sun,” a name tied to radiance, endurance, and victory. The red-orange material gave the concept its direction first, with translucent sections, darker pearlescent clouds, and a fiery internal figure that loosely called to mind the sun’s surface.

The design keeps that solar idea focused: a ☉ sun symbol, surrounding rays, and the Iron Age sword and laurel mark. The result feels less like a generic orange pick and more like a small solar standard, made to be held, played, and collected.

Thick, Satin-Finished, and Built to Play

At approximately 4.75mm thick, these picks have a substantial feel in the hand without becoming oversized. The compact standard-inspired shape gives them a familiar grip, while the slightly reduced size keeps them feeling more agile than a typical full-size pick.

The point is medium-sharp for a controlled attack without pushing the design into extreme territory. The satin finish adds a subtle grip and a softer tactile feel, making the pick feel more like a finished object than a glossy piece of plastic.

Red Resin Depth & Black-Filled Engraving

The material is semi-translucent in certain areas, with orange-red depth, darker internal clouds, and pearlescent movement that shifts from pick to pick. Some pieces show more fiery figure, while others are more uniform, which is part of the nature of working with a small experimental resin sheet.

The black-filled engraving gives the solar artwork strong contrast against the warm resin body. Since each pick was cut from a different part of the sheet, no two are exactly the same.
