How I Handle Endorsements & Artist Messages

Iron Age is a small-batch shop. Most of my time goes into crafting, fulfilling orders, handling support, and working on future projects.

To keep things sane, I don’t run an artist roster, I don’t manage endorsement deals, and I don’t trade gear for exposure. Everyone comes through the same front door.

That keeps Iron Age what it’s meant to be: a one-man product forge for players, not an endorsement agency or custom shop. if you want the long version, it’s all laid out in The Oath

If you want Iron Age picks with your mark on them, there is a clear lane for that: engraved batches on existing models or individually engraved picks.

This page is here so you don’t have to guess what’s possible.

Engraved Batches (Picks Only)

Here’s what I do offer:

Picks only (no custom knobs or kill-switches)
Existing Iron Age pick models only
Black-and-white artwork only, no shading
Batch size: typically 12–150 picks
You can mix and match pick models as long as the total is at least 12
Payment: 100% up front
One proof photo or mockup if needed, then I build
Lead time: usually up to 6 weeks, depending on batch size, model choice, and stock

This is a good fit for tour runs, studio batches, or personal stock with your own mark on it. It’s not an endorsement deal. It’s a small-batch production run inside a clear box.

If the art doesn’t read well at pick size or doesn’t fit the space, I’ll say so before we start.

Pricing & The 35% Discount

Engraved batches of 12–150 picks are priced using my standard 35% wholesale discount on those picks.

A few details:

You can mix different pick models in one batch, as long as the total count is at least 12
Pricing mainly depends on which pick model(s) you choose, since some models are more expensive than others
If a model isn’t in stock, it may add some time to the lead time; I’ll flag that when we talk

Once you email me the models and quantities you’re after, I’ll quote the total and the lead time before sending out your invoice.

What I Don’t Take On

To keep the shop focused, here’s what I’m not offering:

Endorsements or sponsorships
Artist rosters or “teams”
Free or discounted gear in exchange for exposure, posts, or shout-outs
New shapes or materials as customs
Signature models on demand
Engraving on non–Iron Age picks or other brands’ blanks
Bulk printed throwaway promo picks (those belong with a print house)
Custom work on knobs or kill-switches

If what you’re asking for falls in this list, I’m not the right fit.

Mini-FAQ

Do you sponsor artists or do endorsement deals?
No. I don’t run an endorsement program or artist list. The same options are available to everyone.

Can you make a full custom or signature shape just for me?
No. I only engrave on existing Iron Age pick models. No new shapes, no one-off signatures.

Can I message you about restocks or bringing back an older batch?
Yes. Restock questions and suggestions are welcome. I can’t promise exact dates, but knowing what people are asking for helps me decide what to run next.

Can I get a discount if I promote you?
No. I don’t trade gear for exposure. The only discount in play here is the 35% break for qualifying engraved batches (12–150 picks) under wholesale-style terms.

What kind of logo art works best?
Clean black-and-white art with no shading. Simple marks, initials, or symbols that stay readable at pick size. If it doesn’t work, I’ll say so before we move forward.

How long will my batch take?
It depends on the batch size and current queue. I’ll give you a lead time when I quote the order. Once payment is in, I aim to stay inside that window.

How To Request An Engraved Batch

Please include:

Subject: “Engraved Batch Request – [Your Name / Band]”
The Iron Age pick model(s) you’re interested in
Approximate quantity (for example: 12, 25, 50, 100)
Your logo or symbol file (black-and-white, no shading)
Any hard deadline (tour dates, studio time, etc.)

I’ll reply with:

A quick yes/no on feasibility
Pricing (with the applicable 35% discount on qualifying quantities)
An estimated lead time
Note on whether a proof/mockup is needed

If it all looks good, I'll send you an invoice & get to work as agreed.
