This service lets you turn an existing Iron Age pick into a custom, personalized guitar pick with initials, a short word, a date, or a simple logo. It’s for players and gift-givers who already know which pick they want and simply want to mark it as their own—not a full custom pick design service.
Note: this listing is for the engraving work only. The pick itself must be added to your order separately, and each engraving service applies to one pick.
First, choose the plectrum you actually want to use or gift and add it to your cart. Then add this engraving service as a separate item in the same cart.
Orders that contain engraving but no pick will be cancelled. When you’re ready to check out, open your cart and use the “Order Notes” box to tell us what you want engraved.
Include the text (if any), your preferred font (optional), and which engraving style you’d like: bare etch, satin black fill, aqua glow, or green glow.
If you want a logo or image engraved, place your order first. After checkout, email your artwork file to: Support@IronAgeAccessories.com

Bare Engraving / Etch (No Fill)
A clean, unfilled cut into the material. Visually it’s the most subtle option, but because our engravings are cut relatively deep it also adds a slight amount of extra grip where your thumb naturally lands. On very thin pieces, like 1.5mm carbon fiber picks, we usually use an outline-style etch rather than clearing out a solid block, so the pick stays strong while still carrying the mark.
Satin Black Fill
The design is engraved, then filled with black paint. This adds contrast on lighter picks and a low-key, readable mark on mid-tone surfaces. If you want the text or logo to show clearly without shouting, this is usually a safe choice.
Aqua Glow or Green Glow
Here the engraving is filled with UV-reactive resin in aqua or green. Under UV/blacklight the mark glows; in normal light it reads as a soft, pale colored inlay. On light colored models like the Parthenon picks, a light pearl tint may be added to the fill to improve contrast.
Most solid-face picks in our core lines can be engraved—primarily cast acrylic, faux-ivory styles, and even metal picks. The engraving goes on the back side only, so the front design and artwork stay intact.
We do not offer engraving on:
As a rule of thumb: if it’s a regular pick or a flat acrylic “special”/limited run with no large cut-outs/grip-holes and it isn’t UHMWPE, it’s almost always engravable. If you’re unsure about a specific model, send a quick message to Support@IronAgeAccessories.com before you order and we’ll confirm.
For text engravings, there is a limit of 24 characters total, including spaces. This is usually divided into up to three lines of eight characters each.
We’ll adjust line breaks and layout to make the best visual fit on the chosen pick, but short and simple almost always looks better.
For example, a phrase like “STAY SHARP” would often be set as:
STAY
SHARP
(instead of stretched out as one long line.)
For logos or symbols, bold and simple artwork works best:
You can request a specific font by name in the order notes or by email. If you don’t specify one, we’ll usually default to the Iron Age logo font for short, all-caps text. For longer messages, lowercasing, or layouts where that font doesn’t read well, we’ll switch to a clean serif font for clarity.
To keep things simple on both sides, we recommend choosing from fonts.google.com and telling us the exact font name so we’re working from the same library.

Above are also a handful of common font choices—if you like one of those, you can just reference it by number (for example, “same font as example #2”).
Engravings are permanent, but how bold they appear will depend on the material and option you choose. Bare etch is more subtle to the eye, but the cut is deep enough that you can feel a bit of extra texture under your thumb.
Black-filled engravings show up more clearly at a glance, and glow fills add both contrast and UV reaction, especially under stage lights or in darker rooms.
Some people keep engraved picks as milestones or mementos, others put them straight into regular rotation. In either case, they’re built to handle normal use while still carrying the mark you asked for.
Engraving lets you put your own banner on a pick you already trust—your band logo, initials, a short phrase, or a symbol that actually means something to you.
Instead of being just another piece of gear, it becomes a marker: of a project, a band, a season of your playing, or a person you don’t want to forget. It’s a small, durable way to leave your name on the tools you use most and carry a reminder of where you’ve been every time you reach for the pick.
As a gift, an engraved pick lands as more than “another guitar accessory.” It ties a name, date, or symbol to something they’ll actually use—practice, sessions, shows, or even just the tray on their desk.
You get the feel and tone of a regular Iron Age pick, plus a clear personal mark that points back to a specific moment: a record, a tour, a new guitar, or a milestone worth remembering.
Wait Times : Engraving can add an extra 2–5 days to your order. Glow-fill options need at least 24 hours to cure, and overall turnaround can stretch a bit during promotions or busy holidays.
Spelling: Please double-check your spelling and punctuation. We engrave the text exactly as it’s submitted. Some font styles are all-caps only, so lower-case letters may be rendered as capitals.
Image Rights: By purchasing this service, you agree that we may re-post photos of the finished pick for social media, promotion, or advertising. Any logos or trademarks shown are used only to demonstrate engraving capabilities and do not imply endorsement by the entities they represent.
If We Can’t Engrave It: Each engraving request is reviewed before we cut it. If a text or logo isn’t possible (not enough space, too complex, or not suitable for the chosen material), we’ll contact you with an explanation and options. Your order will be placed on hold until we agree on a solution.
Refunds / Exchanges: Customized items cannot be returned, refunded, or exchanged unless there is a clear error on our side.
Questions: If you’re unsure about anything—what’s engravable, how something might look, or timing—use the “Contact” link in the footer or email Support@IronAgeAccessories.com before ordering.
