It's made of \u003cstrong\u003ereal stone\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cem\u003efinely\u003c\/em\u003e grounded into powder, \u0026amp; mixed with \u003cstrong\u003evibrant colored\u003c\/strong\u003e resins.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe result is a pick with \u003cstrong\u003eplenty of mass\u003c\/strong\u003e to make the strings \u003cem\u003esing\u003c\/em\u003e, with the least amount of force. Being held together by a strong resin, it's easy to polish \u0026amp; kept playing smooth.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eGrip is assisted\u003c\/strong\u003e with the engraving itself; maybe a perfect match for our Celtic-Knot knobs... This pick stays put because of it, but as with any stone or agate pick, its \u003cem\u003esweet tone\u003c\/em\u003e is best enjoyed away from hard ground like concrete. Just for piece of mind is all.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eSpeaking of the tone\u003c\/strong\u003e, the sound produced is \u003cem\u003every mellow\u003c\/em\u003e. Not much attack, but more of a glide across the strings. And the overtones are very much accentuated. Maybe not for everyone, but anyone who's played a stone pick knows, these really shine \u0026amp; bring an acoustic guitar to life!\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis run of Dord Fiann picks is \u003cstrong\u003elimited to 28 pieces\u003c\/strong\u003e. They're 4mm thick, and sized in between a Jazz3 \u0026amp; JazzXL pick.
