Meet The Makers:
Alex
I love working with different pick materials & thinking up new designs, inspired by myth and ancient lore, as well as all things related to the Middle Ages.
When I’m not playing guitar (mostly heavy metal), I enjoy photography with my Sony camera, as well as dabbling in history & analytical psychology.
I also served in the USMC as an avionics technician (MOS 6332), where I discovered a nack for troubleshooting systems & also own an e-commerce copywriting agency.
Emma
I've been with Iron Age since 2021 starting with crafting picks & now helping with the digital side of things such as marketing & guitar blogging. I enjoy it very much and I hope to connect with those who enjoy our little works of art. My mind is my most powerful tool; Every day the world reveals something new to me and it's an endless endeavor of discovery. I admire the creative process and those who can achieve it. I indulge in many areas of study casually but music is my profession of choice.
How Our Plectrums Are Made
We take our craft seriously.
That's why our guitar picks are precision cut using CNC machines & CO2 lasers to not only produce accurate engravings but also consistent pick shapes every time.
Inspiration is taken from various mythologies & themes centered around the Iron Age era & we create our vision using computer aided design.
The art of pick-making takes time, practice, and patience.
So we follow up by meticulously sanding, sculpting, and beveling our guitar picks by hand to ensure the best quality in terms of finish & playability.
It can be a tedious processes, but it's our obsession, and the results are worth the wait!
